Health Problems and Health Education
THE HEALTH PROBLEMS OF greatest significance today are the chronic diseases. . . . The extent of chronic diseases, various disabling conditions, and the economic burden that they impose have been thoroughly documented. Health education and health educators will be expected to contribute to the reduction of the negative impact of such major health problems as heart disease, cancer, dental disease, mental illness and other neurological disturbances, obesity, accidents, and the adjustments necessary to a productive old age.
The new and unique role of health education in helping to meet these problems can perhaps be clarified through a review of some of the differences between procedures that have been successful in solving the problems of the acute communicable diseases and those that are available for coping with today’s problems.Youtube video URL: Youtube embedded URL: URL : https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1448258/ Table:

Incorporating Global Education into Practice
Global education helps
students develop their capacity to be informed, open-minded, and responsible people, who are responsive to diverse perspectives. Global education prepares us to address the world’s most pressing issues collaboratively, equitably, and sustainably. Global education helps students understand that pressing issues must be faced in an interdisciplinary way, given the complexity of environments and competing needs and interests.
The primary aim of Global Citizenship: Education (GCED) is nurturing respect for all, building a sense of belonging to a common humanity, and helping learners become responsible and active global citizens. GCED aims to empower learners to assume active roles to face and resolve global challenges and to become proactive contributors to a more peaceful, tolerant, inclusive, and secure world. Education for global citizenship helps young people develop the core competencies which allow them to actively engage with the world and help make it a more just and sustainable place. It is a form of civic learning that involves students’ active participation in projects that address global issues of a social, political, economic, or environmental nature.

Globalization and its Impact on Education with Specific Reference to Education in South Africa
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L-VBVLQRmmw
As globalization of the world economy continues unabated, a parallel growth of globalization of knowledge is also taking place. This latter trend is little affected by the boundaries between developed and less developed countries and is having a particular impact on trends in education. This article looks at the impact of globalization within the context of education in South Africa. It focuses on different perspectives of globalization and identifies key factors that may have an impact on education in South Africa. Finally, it argues that in order to respond to the dangers of marginalization posed by globalization it will be crucial to form, and be part of, new alliances and networks. These will both provide opportunities for sharing knowledge and skills and also build economic strength.

An Effective Management Information System
Effective Management Information System:
Essential characteristics of an effective management information system are 1. MIS is management-oriented 2. MIS is developed under the direction of management 3. MIS is an integrated system 4. common data flow 5. MIS is based upon the future needs of the business 6. MIS is composed of sub-systems 7. MIS requires flexibility 8. distributed data processing and 9. MIS is mostly computerized.
Management Information System is established in an organization to provide relevant information to the managers to operate effectively and efficiently.
1. MIS is management-oriented:
The design of MIS starts with an appraisal of the information needs of the management. The system is usually designed from top to bottom. However, this does not mean that MIS fulfills the information needs of top management only.
It only implies that the information needs of the top management will serve as a basis for the assessment of the information needs of lower-level managers. In every case, the system should be designed to cater to the information needs of all levels of management.
2. MIS is developed under the direction of management:
Because of the management orientation of MIS, it is imperative that the management of an organization actively directs the development and establishment of the MIS in an organization.
It is rare to find an MIS where the manager himself, or a high-level representative of his department, is not spending a good deal of time in the system design.

Education is the transmission of knowledge
In prehistory, education happened informally through oral communication and imitation. With the rise of ancient civilizations, writing was invented, and the amount of knowledge grew. This caused a shift from informal to formal education. Initially, formal education was mainly available to elites and religious groups. The invention of the printing press in the 15th century made books more widely available. This increased general literacy. Beginning in the 18th and 19th centuries, public education became more important. This development led to the worldwide process of making primary education available to all, free of charge, and compulsory up to a certain age. Today, over 90% of all primary-school-age children worldwide attend primary school.
