Hydrosphere
Hydrosphere, discontinuous layer of water at or near Earth’s surface. It includes all liquid and frozen surface waters, groundwater held in soil and rock, and atmospheric water vapour.Water is the most abundant substance at the surface of Earth. About 1.4 billion cubic km (326 million cubic miles) of water in liquid and frozen form make up the oceans, lakes, streams, glaciers, and groundwaters found there. It is this enormous volume of water, in its various manifestations, that forms the discontinuous layer, enclosing much of the terrestrial surface, known as the hydrosphere.

Covid-19
At the end of December 2019, Chinese public health authorities reported several cases of acute respiratory syndrome in Wuhan City, Hubei province, China. Chinese scientists soon identified a novel coronavirus as the main causative agent. The disease is now referred to as coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), and the causative virus is called severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). It is a new strain of coronavirus that has not been previously identified in humans.

ADHD Students and Classroom Considerations
https://education.wm.edu/centers/ttac/documents/packets/adhd.pdf
The culture of the classroom can either support or create barriers to student success (Piffner,2011).
Factors that foster attention, positive behavior, and academic and social success includeestablishing positive relationships with students, adopting classroom management techniques, and creating a physical arrangement that facilitates learning.
It is often a positive relationship with one teacher that facilitates school success for a studentwith ADHD (Piffner, 2011).

Setup and Structure
Without saying a word, classrooms send messages about diversity, relationship building, communication, and the roles of teachers and students. The classroom setup should be student-centered. Specifics will vary from teacher to teacher and class to class, but common elements include the following:
Classroom milieu. Classrooms should be decorated with multicultural images that mirror students’ backgrounds and showcase the diversity of our society.
Arrangement of furniture and supplies. The arrangement will look different depending on age group and subject, but all teachers can draw on these goals when setting up a classroom: supporting collaboration, fostering dialogue, encouraging ownership, and ensuring comfort.
Student roles and responsibilities. Classrooms will be most effective when they are structured to maximize students’ voices and participation.
Classroom norms. Norms and expectations should take into account different cultural and communication styles, gender differences, language needs, and the desire to challenge stereotypes. Students should be involved in setting classroom norms to generate buy-in.

What is global warming, explained
Glaciers are melting, sea levels are rising, cloud forests are dying, and wildlife is scrambling to keep pace. It has become clear that humans have caused most of the past century's warming by releasing heat-trapping gases as we power our modern lives. Called greenhouse gases, their levels are higher now than at any time in the last 800,000 years.

Ratios
Critical Component #1: Honoring Student Experience
When asking students to explore issues of personal and social identity, teachers must provide safe spaces in which students are seen, valued, cared for, and respected. It is also important that students have opportunities to learn from one another’s varied experiences and perspectives. To create this learning environment, teachers need to skillfully draw on student experiences to enrich the curriculum.

virology
Foreword
Peter C. Doherty, in Fenner and White's Medical Virology (Fifth Edition), 2017
Basic virology has, of course, been well served by the many revisions of Bernie Fields’ (1938–1995) exhaustive text and, following the example set by Field’s Virology, the fifth edition will appear as Fenner and White’s Medical Virology. It is a fitting tribute. Taken together, the original authors, and those responsible for this latest version, have variously been active and publishing on one or the other aspect of virus-induced disease and/or pathology since 1948: and the virology lineage goes back even further!

Learning Communities are Spaces to Explore Ideas so Their Members Can Interact With Different Places
Reduce opacity, not hue saturation. This is an interesting one. Rather than go grey, use an opaque version of your primary CTA colour. This communicates what it will be, rather than that it is a dead thing cluttering up your UI. Doesn’t do a lot for pure colour contrast, but maybe it’s not requiring the user to learn another type of button style.
