How Does Nature Impact Our Wellbeing?
Nature heals
Being in nature, or even viewing scenes of nature, reduces anger, fear, and stress and increases pleasant feelings. Exposure to nature not only makes you feel better emotionally, but it also contributes to your physical wellbeing, reducing blood pressure, heart rate, muscle tension, and the production of stress hormones.
In addition, nature helps us cope with pain. Because we are genetically programmed to find trees, plants, water, and other nature elements engrossing, we are absorbed by nature scenes and distracted from our pain and discomfort.

Nature restores
One of the most intriguing areas of current research is the impact of nature on general wellbeing. In one study in Mind, 95% of those interviewed said their mood improved after spending time outside, changing from depressed, stressed, and anxious to more calm and balanced. Other studies by Ulrich, Kim, and Cervinka show that time in nature or scenes of nature are associated with a positive mood, and psychological wellbeing, meaningfulness, and vitality.

Environmental Flows
The natural, seasonal patterns of rising and falling water levels in freshwater systems shape aquatic and riparian habitats, provide cues for migration and spawning, distribute seeds and foster their growth, and enable rivers, lakes, wetlands, and estuaries to function properly. Altering the natural flow pattern – by damming, diverting or channeling water – takes a serious toll on the plants and animals that depend on it. If natural patterns and volumes of water flow are altered too greatly, freshwater ecosystems and species suffer.
Native species need natural flow patterns to flourish; too much flow alteration by humans has real impacts on biodiversity. But how much is too much?

The Nature Conservancy is a global leader in the science of environmental flows – determining the quantity and timing of water flows required to maintain the components, functions, processes and resilience of aquatic ecosystems and sustain the goods and services they provide to people. Determining environmental flows also determines the quantity and timing of flows that are available for humans to alter or divert safely, without harming aquatic ecosystems.
Working in partnership with government agencies, multilateral institutions, water management agencies, the hydropower industry, the scientific community and other non-governmental organizations around the world, Conservancy staff:
Bullets :

Develop, apply and disseminate methods and tools for making scientifically credible environmental flow prescriptions;
Advocate for water policies that integrate ecological values into water management.

Number

Innovate, demonstrate and propagate water management strategies for achieving environmental flow targets.
Publish books and articles that advance the understanding of environmental flow principles and applications.
Provide online and onsite training courses.

Contextual Targeting: In Contextual targeting and Placement Targeting Recommendation system
Contextual targeting is a very effective method for targeting customers. It permits advertisers to display relevant ads on the website’s content.
It is all based on the user search, they see the ads of what they have searched for in the past. Also, it ensures that the ad content matches the page content and contextually relevant advertisements can lead the user to the right place.
Thus, creating a win-win situation. This also complements the overall video experience. Here, the advertisements get selected automatically by a system based on the identity and personality of the user.
Placement targeting in simple terms means that an advertiser selects a specific website where he wants his/her ad to appear. For his ad campaign, he can select his targeted sites where the maximum no. of his/her target market resides. For example – If I am a shoe seller and I want to increase my market reach, then I will try to get ad space on a good shoe review website. This will increase the trust of the customers on my brand and product and will ultimately lead to sales.

Business Intelligence and Data Science
Business Intelligence and Data Science are two of the most recurring terms in the digital era. While both of them involve the use of data, they are totally different from one another. Data Science is the bigger pool containing greater information, BI can be thought of as a part of the bigger picture.
What is Business Intelligence?
Business Intelligence is a process of collecting, integrating, analyzing, and presenting the data. With Business Intelligence, executives and managers can have a better understanding of decision-making. This process is carried out through software services and tools.
Using Business Intelligence, organizations are able to several strategic and operational business decisions. Furthermore, BI tools are used for the analysis and creation of reports. They are also used for producing graphs, dashboards, summaries, and charts to help the business executives to make better decisions.

An Effective Management Information System
Effective Management Information System:
Essential characteristics of an effective management information system are 1. MIS is management-oriented 2. MIS is developed under the direction of management 3. MIS is an integrated system 4. common data flow 5. MIS is based upon the future needs of the business 6. MIS is composed of sub-systems 7. MIS requires flexibility 8. distributed data processing and 9. MIS is mostly computerized.
Management Information System is established in an organization to provide relevant information to the managers to operate effectively and efficiently.
1. MIS is management-oriented:
The design of MIS starts with an appraisal of the information needs of the management. The system is usually designed from top to bottom. However, this does not mean that MIS fulfills the information needs of top management only.

It only implies that the information needs of the top management will serve as a basis for the assessment of the information needs of lower-level managers. In every case, the system should be designed to cater to the information needs of all levels of management.
2. MIS is developed under the direction of management:
Because of the management orientation of MIS, it is imperative that the management of an organization actively directs the development and establishment of the MIS in an organization.
It is rare to find an MIS where the manager himself, or a high-level representative of his department, is not spending a good deal of time in the system design.

Specail issue "Distributes, interconnected andDemocratic Agri-Food Economics New Directions is Research"

Agri-food economies are socio-technical systems converting natural resources into food and ecosystem services and distributing them to consumers mainly through supply chains and markets. This book considers agri-food economies as “economies on their own” distinct to economies in general since they deliver food, which is indispensable for the continuity and quality of human life, and they are located at the complex interface between nature and society.
Today, technological global agri-food economies dominated by vertically integrated, large enterprises are failing in meeting the challenge of feeding a growing global population within the limits of “planetary boundaries” and they are characterized by a “triple fracture” between agri-food economies and their three constitutive elements: nature, consumers and producers.

Formative Assessments
Researcher Laura Greenstein sums up a professional consensus on formative assessment, which is rooted in three significant concepts:

Formative assessment is focused on students.
Formative assessment is instructionally informative.
Formative assessment is based on outcomes. Frequent opportunities for teachers to identify student progress and provide feedback are at the heart of formative assessment. Formative assessments are used to capture snapshots of students' knowledge or skill at particular moments. There are many ways that teachers generate these snapshots of how their students are doing to track their progress.

Some aspects of effective formative assessment strategies include:

Use questions as assessments and as feedback that moves learning forward.
Involve students in thinking about their learning.
Plan to assess learning during and between lessons (short-cycle formative assessment).
Provide immediate feedback.
Look for patterns in student work and plan future instruction based on the results.

Social and Emotional Safety
Creating a safe climate takes time and work. These are some of the most important components:

Active teaching of social-emotional skills
Attention to creating positive relationships
Bullying prevention and intervention
Community building
Explicit focus on understanding and appreciating differences
Meaningful conflict resolution
Teaching students to challenge bias and exclusion

Critical Component #5: Values-Based Classroom Management
Classroom management is central to classroom culture. Classroom management systems must support safe, inclusive communities by promoting high standards for respectful interaction; incorporating student-generated classroom norms; teaching conflict resolution; and actively addressing all instances of bias, bullying, exclusion, or disrespect.
Disciplinary incidents must transition from punishment to opportunities for growth, restitution, and community building. For community respect to be a core classroom value, students should not be cast out of the group but rather given the support needed to be positive, contributing members of their classroom community.
Finally, classroom management practices must reflect fairness, equity, and cultural awareness.
